But you have no way to verify that — and on an anonymous network, no promise from an anonymous operator should be trusted, including ours. Given the nature of I2P, everyone should remain vigilant. Work from these assumptions: * Assume everything you type is being recorded — by us, by another user, or by someone you'll never see. * Assume any user in the channel may be hostile. A friendly nickname proves nothing. * IRC is not private chat — and neither are IRC private messages. IRC has no real end-to-end encryption; a /msg is in principle visible to the server operator. Our node runs as an I2P hidden service, so no IP address is exposed on either side.
